Abstract: With the development of the industrial civilization, the petroleum has become more and more important in the chemical industry. However, the negative impact of oil mining has become increasingly prominent, such as environmental pollution, resource depletion, mining safety issues, etc. The surface subsidence caused by oil exploitation is the most important problem, resulting in the decrease of the underground pressure in the oil layer, which leads to the compaction of the oil layer. When the quantity of the intensity of pressure reaches a fixed value, it will cause the surface subsidence. In the urban area, surface deformation will affect the safe usage of various production facilities. This paper takes an oilfield as the study object, using SBAS technology (small baseline subset) to monitor the surface subsidence caused by implementation of oil production activities. Eventually it provides a comprehensive analysis of the phenotypic variable rate and scope, ground deformation factors and the basis for decision-making for the production sectors and government departments.
