Abstract: Synthetic aperture radar interferometry (InSAR) technique has been widely used to monitor the ground deformation induced by coal mining and achieve accurately small deformation with the phase information of SAR images in study area. However, the large gradient deformation can't be extracted and several new techniques are introduced to solve when the decorrelation caused by large deformation and the interference fringe can't be effectively achieved. In this paper, several technologies combined with InSAR used to achieve the large gradient deformation induced by coal mining are analyzed and their disadvantages are summarized through the literature. Finally we propose some suggestions about the study in the future.
