Abstract: With the acceleration of China's urbanization, the scale of urban construction land has been further increased, bringing about urban problems such as traffic congestion, environmental pollution, reduction of green space and urban heat island. In this paper, based on the comprehensive use of the 2015 national geographic census data, 2011 and 2013 remote sensing data, through the establishment of urban expansion intensity index, the use of statistical analysis, spatial clustering and other methods, it determines the rapid expansion of construction land in Shunde district in the past four years, the average annual growth rate of 1.8%, including the average annual growth rate of more than 14% in the new urban area. In addition, it is also finds that the expansion mode of the main urban area is mainly filled expansion, among which Daliang street and Leliu street are mainly the expansion of industrial park, Lunjiao street is mainly the expansion of central park, and Ronggui street is mainly the expansion of logistics park.
