Two-position Alignment Method for Inertial Navigation System of Rail Tester

Abstract: In order to improve the alignment accuracy of inertial navigation system in rail tester, a two position alignment method for the inertial navigation system is proposed, which is using of u-turn mode, to achieve inertial navigation system accelerometer constant bias compensation. Select 0.1°/h FOG and 200 μg flexible quartz accelerometers making up inertial navigation system, and carry out a test. The results showed that the two position alignment method can effectively remove the orbital parameters detection error causing by inertial devices bias error. Continuous operation for 300 m, the railroad level detection accuracy is significantly improved.
