Abstract: The Sentinel-1 data is currently the latest free SAR data and is well suited for land subsidence monitoring based on InSAR technology due to its 6-day revisit cycle. In this paper, Xi'an urban area and its surrounding area are used as the research area, and the time-series surface subsidence monitoring method based on Sentinel-1 data and SBAS-InSAR technique is explored. We obtain a detailed data processing process, which validity is corroborated by using the existing research data. The research shows that most of the regional surface deformation rate is in the range of-33 to 30mm/a from 2015 to 2016, and the maximum subsidence is about 75mm in the 228-day monitoring period, occurred in Yu-Hua Zhai that is the largest settlement center of Xi'an. Compared with the late 20th century, the intensity of subsidence decreased greatly, and the serious area of subsidence moved form the eastern suburbs to the southern suburbs of Xi'an, and the range of subsidence reduced.
