SLAM Technology and Its Application in Surveying and Mapping

Abstract:

In recent years,robots have a wide range of applications in all industries.Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) is one of the key technologies in the field of robots.Based on the SLAM technology,three-dimensional reconstruction of the visual information and LiDAR data can be carried out.These three-dimensional models and maps have a wide range of applications in the field of surveying and mapping.Especially the more accurate three-dimensional model data,it is significance for accurate measurement and high-precision navigation.However,the discussions of SLAM technology in the field of surveying and mapping applications are still relatively little,most of the field in the robot were reviewed,currently.Therefore,this paper discusses the development and principle of SLAM technology and its application in the field of surveying and mapping from the perspective of surveying and mapping,and expands the application prospect of SLAM technology in the field of surveying and mapping.Then important references are provided for domestic and foreign researchers in surveying and mapping and robotics.
