Abstract: According to the problem that traditional relative orientation method is not suitable for the landing sequence images,a relative orientation method suitable for the the landing sequence images is proposed, when the baseline and the camera optical axis is consistent.Firstly, according to the geometric model of the landing images, the relative orientation elements are determined, and a new relative directional solution model is constructed. Then, the scale changes of the two images are calculated based on the matching line formed by the SIFT feature matching points, and the scale of the two images is unified. After that the initial values of 4 relative directional elements are calculated according to the coordinate change of the matching points. Finally, the relative orientation process is completed by least square iteration.Experiments were carried out using ground simulated images and Chang'e three landing images. The results show that the proposed method can better achieve the relative orientation of the landing sequence image, and has better accuracy and reliability.
