Abstract: With the continuous development of urbanization, underground pipeline laying is more intensive, this situation will lead to a variety of security risks, threatening the safety of people's lives at any time. Today's urban management is basically based on two-dimensional means to achieve the later construction and operation and maintenance management needs, which restricts the accuracy of pipeline data results, and can not guarantee the unity of two-dimensional pipeline data to the actual situation. By introducing and mastering BIM technology, in underground engineering can provide three-dimensional visualization and information service for managers, and can solve the problem of urban life security more conveniently. There is an example of a practical project application of BIM technology in underground pipeline engineering in this paper, so that BIM technology can play its value in underground engineering and provide effective technical support for managers.
