Abstract: High-precision geographic information has the advantage of providing higher spatial positioning accuracy and stronger ability to express spatial relationships. During the “Fourteenth Five-Year Plan” period, high-precision geographic information acquisition will be taken as an important strategic task for basic surveying and mapping. The relevant achievements will provide a better spatial reference for economic and social development and integrated management of natural resources. Based on the progress of acquiring high-precision geographic information, this paper analyzes the demand situation and the role of improving the basic surveying and mapping service capabilities of high-precision geographic information products, as well as the problems encountered in the process of acquiring and providing high-precision geographic information. The suggestions for improving the ability to acquire high-precision geographic information and provide products are also proposed.
