Planning-oriented 3D geographic entity data model and production technology

Abstract: 3D GIS provides a new kinetic energy for the new round of land spatial planning. 3D spatial data model is the foundation and key of the development and application of 3D GIS. Entity-oriented 3D model is an important expression of 3D spatial data model. This paper proposes a planning-oriented 3D geographic entity data model, and takes the production and application practice in Jiashan county, Zhejiang province as an example to elaborate the key technologies and application effects of entity production. This is significant to serve land spatial planning, improve spatial governance capacity, and promote modernization of governance system.
