Abstract: The spatio-temporal changes of land cover in the Amazon Basin affect the stability of global climate and ecosystems. Currently, research on land cover in the Amazon Basin is extensive, with massive data and information, but lacks a systematic spatio-temporal knowledge system. In order to better understand the knowledge of spatio-temporal changes of land cover in the Amazon Basin, this article introduces ontology modeling theory and proposes a knowledge modeling method for spatio-temporal changes of land cover in the Amazon Basin. The design and construction of the land cover pattern layer in the Amazon Basin are completed using the Protégé tool. And the knowledge modeling is completed by extracting spatio-temporal change data, spatio-temporal change information, and landscape pattern index of the Amazon Basin, providing support for analysis and decision-making of the Amazon Basin.
