Abstract: Using the laser scanning technology for power transmission line operation and maintenance can effectively detect the power line defects and channel defects. But because it is limited by the patrol frequency, it may not detect the power transmission line defects timely. This paper describes a power line condition analysis model to simulate real-time dynamic power line state. Considering the influence of environmental conditions such as temperature, wind and icing on the power transmission line, the transmission line sag status will be changed, and the dynamic simulation of the power line is realized by using the power line mechanics. Finally, the simulated power line under the typical weather conditions was tested for safe distance detection, which can find the transmission line corridor hidden dangers timely.
