Abstract:

In the process of 3D modeling of terrestrial 3D laser scanner, it is necessary to splice the point cloud of different stations. In order to improve the accuracy of point cloud registration, the influence of four factors, such as the number of scanning points on the surface, the distribution and the number of targets, and the scanning distance, on the accuracy of the point cloud registration in different stations of the 3D laser scanner is studied. FOCUS 3D laser scanner was used to simulate the different point of view, the number of targets, the distribution of different targets and different points, and then, the SENCE software is used to analyze the precision of point cloud. The experimental results show that the accuracy of the point cloud stitching is the best when the number of scanning points on the target surface of the two stations is approximately equal, and the 4 targets are used to connected and placed in the irregular arrangement of different heights.
