Key Technologies Research and Application of 3D Modeling for Digital City Construction

Abstract:

3D model data has become an important part in the construction of digital city database with its intuitive, objectivity and accuracy characteristics. In order to solve the accuracy and efficiency requirement of 3D model data acquisition, in the process of building digital city, Beijing takes a variety of ways to achieve 3D model acquisition. Utilizing the traditional manual 3D modeling to achieve the accuracy of 3D fine model, utilizing 3D laser scanning technology to realize the accuracy of 3D hyperfine model, utilizing tilt photogrammetry semi-automatic modeling method to achieve rapid modeling etc. From the technical point of view, this paper is a comprehensive summary of the specific technical approach and application methods for 3D model in the process of Beijing digital city construction. 3D model data applied in many fields of Beijing digital city such as historical and cultural protection, education and economic and so on, which lay a solid data base for the construction of intelligent Beijing.
