The Transition from the GPS to GNSS Teaching

Abstract: Over years, "GPS measuring principle and application" has been the core of the surveying and mapping professional courses. As the GLONASS, BDS, Galileo system gradually afford the service,single GPS system has turned many GNSS navigation and positioning system of system integration. Teaching material update is hard to keep up with the development of the GNSS technology.On the basis of the existing teaching materials,how to turn GPS teaching into GNSS. Surveying and Mapping Engineering Research Group of the Institute of Disaster Prevention has carried on the exploration and reform. It is better to deal with the combination of teaching and production, increase the learning content without increasing class hours. A variety of teaching methods are proposed to enable students to master more knowledge and skills. This paper tries to find a shift from GPS for GNSS teaching way.
