Design and Implementation of Underground Pipe Network 3D Visualization Platform

Abstract: 3D visualization can effectively describe and express intricate underground pipe networks.In view of the current three-dimensional visualization of underground pipe network,the software platform research and development mostly base on Skyline platform,which is very expensive and inefficient on data loading and display.This paper designs and develops the pipe network visualization platform based on open source 3D graphics rendering engine OSG,which not only can save the cost of purchasing the base platform effectively,but also can display the 3D underground pipe network and multi-source data efficiently.The platform has abundant pipe network analysis functions as well.It will has significant economic benefits and practical promotion value in the field of 3D visualization of underground pipe network.
