Abstract: Islands, coastal zones and other areas have been difficult areas for marine surveying and mapping. In recent years, airborne laser bathymetry can be applied to coastal zones, islands and reefs survey, but due to many constraints,it is unable to achieve seamless mosaic of water and land topography in China.Shipborne over water and under water intergrated mapping technology integrates three-dimensional laser ranging technology, multibeam sounding technology, position and orientation technology through multi-process network technology, which makes up for the shortcomings of traditional surveying methods, such as low efficiency, high cost, difficulty in obtaining high-density water and land three-dimensional spatial geographic information. As a new marine space exploration technology,it has great advantages. This paper summarizes the latest research progress of the shipborne over water and under water intergrated mapping system at home and abroad, expounds its system composition and principle, summarizes the key links in the data acquisition and processing flow of the system and the existing problems of the system. At the same time,it looks forward to its future development trend.
