Research on the digital protection of Dongguan historical buildings

Abstract

Abstract: Based on the site investigation of 278 approved historic buildings in Dongguan city, this paper realizes information collection and digital database construction using UAV, 3D laser scanning and other spatial information technologies. It Combines digital management platform and public service system which comprehensively displays and disseminates the cultural value of Dongguan historical buildings. The purpose is to explore a new mode of combining digital technology and historical building protection, to provide new ideas for the preservation, protection, activation, utilization and dissemination of traditional cultural resources, and promotes the protection and management of historical buildings to be scientific, complete, systematic and shared development.
