Abstract: Gravity data is basic data to determine the quasi-geoid model, which directly affects the medium and short wave components of the quasi-geoid.In this paper, the influence of gravity data on the quasi-geoid is analyzed by the variation of height anomaly.Firstly, the reference gravity field model, gravity data and topographic data are used to determine the quasi-geoid model based on Molodensky principle.Secondly, the quasi-geoid is calculated based on the same strategy by adding the gravity data in the sparse area. Finally, the difference of the quasi-geoid model in the changing area of gravity data is analyzed. The result shows that the variation range of the new quasi-geoid model is -3.7~4.0 cm after the addition of gravity data, and the proportion of the region with the absolute value of change greater than 1 cm is 7.8%of the whole region. In addition, the area with significant height anomaly changes are mainly located in complex mountainous area, which further highlights the importance gravity data in area with complex topographical features.
