UAV RS Applied in 3D Reconstruction of Huge Immovable Cultural Relics

Abstract

Abstract: Aiming at the problem in 3D reconstruction of huge immovable cultural relics, based on UAV RS platform, we use 3D reconstruction based on pictures technique, then design a low cost, quick, high accuracy process for surface exquisite geometry and texture data acquisition and 3D reconstruction. Besides, we research on the problems in this process and evaluate its accuracy and practicability. It shows that the method meets the accuracy requirements of cultural rclics surveying, and we raise a new view for protection and display of cultural relics which can show culturals to audiences totally and closely the 3D reconstruction result has accurate position so it can be used as new data acquisition method and data source of 3D GIS platform.
