Abstract: The natural resources investigation and monitoring work has been scattered in various departments for a long time in our country, such as natural resources department, forestry department, water resources department and agricultural sector. It is difficult to share their results due to the lack of uniform standards and methods. Based on the major project of the 14th Five-Year plan for natural resources in Hunan province, this paper analyzes the current situation of natural resources investigation and monitoring and explores the basic ideas for the construction of the natural resources investigation and monitoring system, which can provide the reference for the compilation of the 14th Five-Year plan for natural resources in Hunan province.
