Abstract: The traditional basic surveying and mapping large aircraft aerial photography specifications require to divide with different national basic scale as a unit, and partition height not exceed 1/3 airlines, overrun area of not more than 5%.These requirements for large aircraft can be achieved, but it is difficult to achieve for unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) flight with low altitude (below one thousand meters) and height difference more stringent requirements, and also take into account the flight safety,so the partition more fragmentary, usually a square kilometers as many as a dozen partition. This paper puts forward the aerial zoning algorithm taking into account the space relationship and flight safety. It can effectively merge the piecemeal zoning and ensure flight safety, basically reaching 2 sub districts of each square kilometre,so as to meet UAV flight requirements.
