An Auto-extraction Method of Structural Road Elements from Mobile Laser Scanning Data

Abstract

Abstract: The road recognition is important to automatic driving and machine navigation. This article develops an extraction method of vehicle laser scanning point clouds by using local feature restriction to pre-segmentation and then extracts point clouds of road elements with multi-scale clustering. The results show that the method is efficient in structural road elements recognition.
