Application of time-series synthetic aperture radar interferometry in embankment deformation monitoring

摘要: 堤防形变监测对防洪安全与工程维护具有重要意义。本文基于2019—2023年74景Sentinel-1A数据,采用DS-InSAR技术对广东省北江大堤三水段进行形变监测,通过融合永久散射体(PS)与分布式散射体(DS)信号,获取了堤防形变的时空分布特征。结果表明:①研究区年均形变速率分布在-9~6 mm/a之间,呈显著空间分异,自北向南形成3个沉降中心,其中芦苞镇段(区域B)堤线转折处最大沉降速率达-9 mm/a,乐平镇段(区域C)沉降范围扩展至堤外200 m保护区域;②累计形变分析显示,2022—2023年沉降加速显著,2023年单年沉降量占5年总量的61.5%,芦苞水闸周边累计沉降量达-39 mm;③特征点时序演变分析表明,PS1和PS2在2023年9月出现了显著的沉降,而PS3表现出稳定的沉降趋势,PS4则经历了抬升和沉降交替的过程。研究结果验证了时序InSAR技术在土质堤防监测中的适用性,为珠江三角洲重要堤防工程的安全运维提供了科学依据。

Abstract: Deformation monitoring of embankments is of great significance for flood prevention safety and engineering maintenance.This study employed DS-InSAR technology to monitor the deformation of the Sanshui section of the Beijiang embankment in Guangdong province,based on 74 scenes of Sentinel-1A data from 2019 to 2023.By integrating persistent scatterers (PS)and distributed scatterers (DS)signals,the spatio-temporal distribution characteristics of embankment deformation were obtained.The results indicate that: ①The annual deformation rate in the study area ranged from -9 to 6mm/a,showing significant spatial heterogeneity,with three subsidence centers formed from north to south.The maximum subsidence rate reached -9mm/a at the turning point of the embankment in the Lubao Town section (region B),while the subsidence area in the Leping Town section (region C)extended to the 200m protection zone outside the embankment.②Cumulative deformation analysis revealed a notable acceleration in subsidence during 2022—2023,with the subsidence in 2023 alone accounting for 61.5%of the total over five years.The cumulative subsidence near the Lubao Sluice reached -39mm.③Time-series analysis of characteristic points showed significant subsidence in PS1 and PS2 in September 2023,while PS3 exhibited a stable subsidence trend.PS4 underwent alternating uplift and subsidence processes.This study validates the applicability of time-series InSAR technology in monitoring earthen embankments and provides scientific support for the safety maintenance of critical embankment projects in the Pearl River Delta.
