Abstract: In order to improve the technical level of modernizing tunnel construction and realize the modeling and visualization of the construction scenes of tunnel excavation, support and lining, the 3D laser scanner is used to collect, cut, denoise and resample the tunnel 3D laser-point cloud data such that the harvested data are to be applied into all aspects of tunnel construction. Thus, an accurate and reliable basis has been provided for optimizing the drilling and blasting scheme, adjusting the reserved deformation, optimizing the initial concrete blending ratio, and eliminating the unqualified thickness of the second lining. Meanwhile, new technical means have also been supplied for tunnel engineering quantity and cost control, construction quality and deformation detection.

Key words: tunnel construction, laser point cloud, section test, deformation detection, 3D modeling
