On the Training and Curriculum System for the National Geographic Conditions Monitoring College Major

Abstract: The national geographic conditions monitoring is proposed as a national strategy in China, due to its becoming the important content of China's surveying, mapping and geoinformation career in the next two decades, as well as the future development and key responsibility of surveying and mapping industry. Talents are the primary resource, and it is fundamental to cultivate professional talents for national geographic conditions monitoring. The basic theory and supporting technology for the national geographic conditions monitoring are discussed. Standing on scientific development and subject frontier, the curriculum building and personnel training are analyzed and discussed to satisfy the actual requirements of the national geographic conditions monitoring.
