Abstract: In order to solve the problems of low efficiency and poor reliability of data accuracy obtained by manual aerial operations in some work of traditional power engineering, this paper proposes to apply three-dimensional laser measurement technology to the field of power engineering, by taking advantage of non-contact measurement, safety and high speed, high data accuracy and reliability of the three-dimensional laser scanner to reduce the errors caused by human factors in the measurement. The experimental results show that the error between the result of the electric tower height measurement, clearance height measurement and coordinate measurement measured by this technology and by the total station is within the range of allowable error.
