Exploration and practice on the construction of high-level teachers of geographic information science

Abstract: Teaching staff is the key factor in the construction of first-class majors and the cultivation of first-class talents,and also the implementer of promoting the organized scientific research in China's universities. Taking the geographic information science major of Central South University as an example,this paper discusses the influencing factors and implementation approaches of the construction of high-level teaching staff in the industry featured “double first-class” universities. We also analyze the achievements and problems of the construction of the teaching staff in recent years. This paper may provide some reference for the construction of first-class specialty of geographic information science and the improvement of talent training quality.
