Abstract: The amount of geospatial information is a huge and that the spatial relationships is intricate in modern cites. It is required that the exhibition form of geospatial and planning scheme has better cognitive effect, so that planner can make the cognitive effect more efficiently and accurately. Thus planner can make scientific and reasonable planning design and approval decision.Comparing with conventional planning scheme, the virtual reality technology can effectively improve spatial cognitive effect of the planning scheme. This paper aims to propose a method for creating virtual reality scenes of the urban planning scheme, and to verified the significant advantages of virtual reality scenes spatial cognitive effect by experiments.
